MULTIPLEX SYSTEM OF SELF-EXCITED MICRORESONATOR FIBER- OPTICAL TRANSDUCERS OF PHYSICAL QUANTITIES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2204810 C1

FIELD: fiber-optical self-excited systems based on micromechanical resonance excited by light, multiplex systems measuring various physical quantities. SUBSTANCE: according to invention there is realized multichannel measurement system in which each measurement channel incorporates high-efficiency erbium fiber laser in which length of optical resonator is limited in substance by length of section of active single-mode light guide amounting to 10.0 cm or under. Radiation of semiconductor pumping laser is directed into resonator of erbium fiber laser with the use of multimode splitter which length is not limited. It means that limitations on departure of sensitive element of measurement system from recording electron equipment are lifted. System of self-excited microresonator fiber-optical transducers of physical values presents set of N independent erbium fiber lasers with N microresonator mirrors in which optical pumping of active light guides is carried out by radiation of single semiconductor pumping laser distributed by means of multimode fiber splitter of 2 x N type. Technical result of invention lies in provision for high speed of response and for realization of uninterrupted measurement mode, for exclusion of interaction of cross interference between measurement channels which raises measurement accuracy, for removal of principle limitations on number of measurement channels in system. EFFECT: increased efficiency of entire system thanks to simplification of problem of matching of semiconductor pumping laser with multimode fiber splitter. 1 dwg
