FIELD: fiber-optic feedback systems on the base of fiber lasers.

SUBSTANCE: new approach of multichannel fiber-optic system for measuring gas concentration is suggested. System provides continuous and simultaneous operation of different measuring channels due to application of active light guides doped with rare-earth metals for creating high efficient erbium fiber-optic lasers which have short-length fiber resonators. Emergence of difference frequencies in laser intensity self-modulation spectrum has to be the result of resonant self-modulation in two simultaneously excited planar structure microresonators and measuring channel can be provided on the base of differential measuring circuit. Process of measurement in each k-th channel is organized in such a manner that each first microresonator of any pair of resonators has to be the reference channel and the other one has to be the measuring one. Measuring channel is provided with sorbing film being sensitive to gas concentration.

EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
