FIELD: nuclear power engineering; spacer grids for power reactors. SUBSTANCE: spacer grid has cells 1 to receive fuel elements 3 arranged at constant pitch in hexagonal scheme. Each cell is made in the form of hexahedron with three fuel-element supports 2. Supports are spaced 120 deg. apart and are formed by stamping facets of this hexahedron. In the process cells are joined together over six mating facets at resistance welding points. Each support is tilted over entire height of cell facet through certain angle to its axis to form outer channel 4. Cells are mounted in spacer grid so that each facet with channel of one cell corresponds to flat facet of adjacent cell grid. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of fuel element fixation in working fuel assembly without causing frictional wear; improved mixing of coolant flow between adjacent cells due to closed channel. 1 cl, 2 dwg
