FIELD: polymers, chemical technology, medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyfunctional biocompatible hydrogel comprising the following components, wt. - %: acrylamide, 1.3-15; cross-linking agents: N,N- -methylene-bis-acrylamide, 0.004-0.975 and N,N'- ethylene-bis-acrylamide, 0.004-5.1; poviargol, 0.002-0.45, and water, up to 100. Hydrogel is prepared by copolymerization of acrylamide with cross-linking agents in an aqueous medium in the presence of peroxide polymerization initiating agent, at incubation for two steps. The first step is carried out at 20- 90 C for 2-24 h and the second step at 107-130 C for 2 h, not above. Hydrogel elicits the reduced body tissue response with respect to its implantation and low possibility of colonization by pathogenic microflora.
