FRAME GUIDE OF BANDING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; packing equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to frame guides of banding machines and it can be used in packing facilities employing band binding materials. Proposed guide contains U-shaped chute with rectilinear and curvilinear sections. Lower rectilinear section contains bay-shaped guide of banding head with upper pressure plate and horizontal guide adjoining the plate and consisting of base with side walls. Side wall of horizontal guide located from side of outlet of object to be banded from frame guide is made in form of one or several L-shaped cover plates. First cover plate adjoining bay-shaped guide of banding head contains unit of movable connection with base of horizontal guide, being made of side whose height decreases in direction of feed of band along guide and shelf on which continuous cutout is made. Initial point of cut line is located on inlet end of shelf, and final point of cut line is located on side or outlet end face of shelf. Distance from initial point of cut line to vertical side wall of horizontal guide is less than width of binding band, and numerical value of distance from each following point of cut line to vertical side wall does not exceed initial distance. Inlet end face of shelf is located lower than upper surface of upper pressure plate of banding head, but higher than lower surface of plate.
