METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF DISPERSION CHARACTERISTICS OF SHOT-GUNS AND AMMUNITION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2205353 C2

FIELD: shooting equipment, for particular, technique of determination of dispersion characteristics-close grouping of shots uniformity of shattering, concentration of shattering to the center. SUBSTANCE: a shot is fired from the shot-gun on a target, after that optical signals are converted into electric ones with the aid of a matrix photodetector placed in the plane of the target optical image formed by the objective lens. The signals of the photodetectors are read out, transformed to a digital code proportional to the electric signals of the photodetectors and stored in the form of a two-dimensional data file corresponding to the matrix of the photodetectors. The coded signals are compared with the threshold value and a decision on belonging of the signal to the shot mark is taken according to the excess of the threshold value, if according to the priori data the mean brightness of the non-affected section of the target, or according to non-excess of the threshold value, if according to the priori data, the mean brightness of the shot mark is less then the mean brightness of the non-affected section of the target, the numbers of the lines and columns of the data file elements with the codes of the signals of the shot marks are stored in the digital view, the coordinates of the shot marks in the plane of the target are determined, to this end, the differences between the numbers of the line of the data file element with the code of the signal of the shot mark and the numbers of the column of the data file element corresponding to the target section taken as the origin of coordinates are found in pairs for each data file element, and the obtained values of difference for the lines and columns are multiplied by the value of the line resolution of the photodetector in the plane of the target. The coordinates of the center of the shot shattering are determined by summation of the coordinates of the shot marks for each axis of coordinates with a subsequent division of the sum by the total number of the shot marks, use is made of the mathematical model of the n-portion target, to this end, the coordinates of the boundaries of portions of the n-portion target relative to its center is stored in the form of digital codes, matching of the target center with the center of the shot shattering is accomplished by transformation of the coordinates of the shot marks by subtraction of the respective coordinates of the shot shattering center from the coordinates of the shot marks. Belonging of the shot marks to one of the target portions is determined by comparison of the transformed coordinates of the shot marks with the coordinates of the boundaries of the n-portion target, the quantity of the shot marks in each target portion is counted up and the characteristics of dispersion are calculated by known formulas. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 3 dwg
