FIELD: analytical chemistry of organic compounds. SUBSTANCE: procedure can be used for detection of phenol and formaldehyde in atmosphere of working zone at factories of various assignment, production of periclase-carbon refractory materials included. Procedure detecting phenol and formaldehyde in air of working zone includes stage of sampling and detection of toxicants by method of piezoquartz micro weighing. Salient feature of invention lies in use of matrix of sensors incorporating four modified piezoelectric quartz resonators in the capacity of detector. Electrodes of resonators are treated with solutions of polyvinylpyrrolidone, dinonylpltalate, beeswax, polyethyleneglycol adipinate so that mass of film amounts to 10-20 mcg. Responses of sensors are recorded in turn. EFFECT: potential for determination of ratio of concentrations and total content of phenol and formaldehyde in air of working zone, reduced thresholds in detection of phenol and formaldehyde, shortened time and simplified hardware for presentation of results of analysis. 6 dwg
