METHOD DETECTING AMMONIA IN GAS MIXTURE WITH ORGANIC COMPOUNDS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: analytical chemistry of organic compounds. SUBSTANCE: method can be utilized for separate detection of ammonia in mixture with organic compounds ( ethyl alcohol, butylacatate, acetone, formaldehyde ) in gas effluent of factories of main organic synthesis, production of dyes and furniture. Method detecting ammonia in gas mixture with organic compounds includes modification of electrodes of piezoquartz resonator with sorbite solution, thermal removal of solvent, injection of gas mixture into detection cell, registration of analytic signal. Propolis with film mass 10-30 mcg is used as sorbent. Proportion of concentrations of ammonia and organic compounds in gas mixture is C_(amm):C_(or.c) = 1:2. Analytic signal is registered after 4.0-4.5 min of start of sorption. EFFECT: simplified and accelerated method with enhanced selectivity of detection. 7 dwg, 1 tbl
