SUBSTANCE: method involves administration of 5% solution of mexidol in the dose 400 mg, 2 times per 24 h with interval for 12 h for 3-5 days by intravenous drop route. If necessary, the pneumonia treatment with mexidol is continued in the dose 200 mg, 2 times per 24 h for 3-4 days additionally. Invention provides to reduce frequency of the development of pulmonary inflammatory processes, pneumonia duration and diminish lethality in patients with acute exogenous intoxications.
