FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport employing self-contained locomotives capable of supplying power to consumers in emergency by means of locomotive diesel generating plant. To get three phase output voltage of 380 V, 50 Hz to supply industrial and other consumers in emergency, two stator windings of generator should be connected in series by means of selector switch. To change over from traction mode to power supply mode, additional selector switch is provided. Use of two supercharging turbocompressors makes it possible to realize full traction power of locomotive and cut down consumption of fuel over entire range of operating loads.
