FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Traction locomotive converter comprises a power supply, a frequency converter and an inverter. Input of power supply is input of converter of traction from electric power source. At the same time output of power supply is connected by internal current-conducting bus with single intermediate bus of DC power supply. Input of the frequency converter, the output of which is connected to the windings of the traction motors, the input of the inverter, the output of which is connected to the windings of the auxiliary machines or with external loads, is connected to the single intermediate DC power bus. Power supply, frequency converter, inverter are interconnected and with external control system of locomotive by code line. Power supply source is shared by a diesel generator frequency converter, a charge-discharge converter and a power supply source from an external network.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expansion of functional capabilities and improvement of reliability of locomotive traction converter.
