CARTRIDGE FOR PLAIN-BARREL GUN Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: ammunition designed to shoot plain-barrel hunting, service or sports firearms. SUBSTANCE: cartridge for plain- barrel gun includes case coming in the form of plastic body with bottom wad, percussion cap, powder charge, shot shell and obturator unit placed between powder charge and shot shell. Plastic body of case is formed by two coaxial cylinders, powder charge being put in one cylinder and shot shell being located in another cylinder. Cylinders are conjugated one to another by means of plastic partitions. Obturator unit is fabricated in the form of disk spring with sealing collar in base. Shot spacer resting against ring protrusion made in inner side surface of cylinder housing shot shell is positioned between disk spring and shot shell. Cylinder housing shot shell has longitudinal knurls and longitudinal notches in external side surface, has smaller diameter and is conjugate to cylinder housing powder charge with the aid of conical branch pipe. EFFECT: simplified design of cartridge and technology of its manufacture. 4 dwg
