FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method consists in extraction-photometric determination of 1,4- benzdiazepin derivatives in solutions of preparations and pharmaceutical forms using cupric salicylate complex followed by extraction of resulting colored compound with chloroform and photometry of extract. Cupric salicylate complex is formed in situ when adding to test solution cupric sulfate and sodium salicylate solution.
