SUBSTANCE: proposed element of packing includes ring with rectangular notches on its lateral surface made in staggered order and bent inside cylindrical ring in form of tabs; each tab consists of profiled plates interconnected in zigzag pattern. Said plates have varying width reducing towards free end of tab; plates of each pair of tabs in adjacent parallel rows are directed to opposite sides. Proposed element makes it possible to increase contact surface of interacting phases. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of mass exchange due to intensification of flow turbulization; increased degree of dispersivity. 3 dwg
