FIELD: oil-refining, petrochemical, gas, chemical, food-processing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed element of packing contains cylindrical ring with rectangular notches on its lateral surface; said notches are located in staggered order and are bent over transversal generatrix inside ring. One of longitudinal sides of tab is provided with transversal notches made at similar pitch forming system of plate elements bent to opposite sides in height of tab, thus forming pair of combs with on base. Proposed element makes it possible to increase contact surface of interacting phases. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; simplified construction due to intensification of turbulization of flows. 4 dwg
