FIELD: metal working, builtup cutting tools provided with changeable polyhedral tips mechanically fastened in body of tool. SUBSTANCE: method for fastening changeable cutting tip in cutter body having mounting seat, supporting plate, screw for laterally fixing said plate, cutting tip, screw for fastening it; additional members for pressing cutting tip and its screw comprises steps of placing supporting plate and cutting tip in mounting seat of cutter body and fastening them with use of screws. In order to enhance quality of cutting tool, supporting plate is based in mounting seat of cutter body according to main mounting base of supporting plate. Cutting tip is based on supporting plate according to main mounting base of cutting tip and it is finally fastened by locking screw. Then supporting plate is fixed by lateral fixation screw against spontaneous release at rotation and at changing cutting tip. Additional members for forcing cutting tip and its screw are placed and fixed. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cutting tool. 1 dwg
