FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in development of oil pools with complicated structure. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of direction of reservoir-scale fractures by excitation of seismic wave from excitation sources located away from well at different horizontal angles with registration of seismic waves over wellbore. P direct wave and PS reflected or transmitted wave are separated. Intensity of P wave is determined. Intensity of PS wave is determined in interval of 300-500 m above producing formation. Ratio of PS/P waves amplitudes is determined. Ellipse by vectors of ratios of PS/P wave amplitudes is constructed by different horizontal angles. Direction of prevailing reservoir-scale fractures is determined by direction of ellipse small axis. Coefficient of rock anisotropy in tested formation is determined by lengths of ellipse large axis/small axis ratio. After determination of direction of reservoir-scale fractures, boundaries of field section with determined reservoir-scale fractures are determined reservoir-scale fractures are determined. Formation of rows of producing wells is effected at angle to detected direction of fracturing inside boundaries of field section with determined reservoir-scale fractures.
