FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on analysis of converted waves parameters, which occur in the medium at intermediate acoustic borders between a source of radiation and a receiver of acoustic waves (in contrast to the available methods, where parameters of converted waves are analysed, which occur on the plane), which makes to quite accurately detect jointed intervals in the rock and/or borehole vicinity that occurred in a natural manner with dense systems of fine cracks and to determine space orientation of such jointed intervals, thus increasing information value of survey on detection of most productive oil-containing collectors. The method is realised by analysis of parameters of converted waves, which occur in the medium at intermediate acoustic borders between the source of radiation and the receiver of acoustic waves, and detection of fine cracks system intervals on the basis of this analysis and their prevailing azimuthal direction.
EFFECT: increased information value of borehole vicinity structure by method of multibeam three-component offset vertical profiling with traditional nondirectional sources of radiation of longitudinal waves.
