FIELD: starting boilers at thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: furnace has central combustion chamber and more than one peripheral ones separated by waterwalls and intercommunicating through transfer opening; burner unit whose outlet section is brought into peripheral combustion chamber and is enclosed by circulating pipe with injecting agent feed nozzles disposed upstream of inlet end of the latter and with burner muzzle installed on outlet end; circulating pipe is placed inside burner muzzle to form annular clearance between them; it also has pulverized-coal source communicating with burner unit through main and bypass pulverized-fuel lines provided with gate valve; bypass pulverized-fuel line communicates with circulating pipe inserted in main pulverized- fuel line connected to burner muzzle.
