FIELD: study of formation and dynamics of ground surface, prediction of intensity and stirring up of deformation processes. SUBSTANCE: underground and/or space repeated geodetic observations of vertical shifts of ground surface are carried out in observation points at least twice a year. Present-day vertical shifts are measured and regional stresses, Poisson's ratio, rigidity modulus of rocks, relative change of bulk modulus are determined as well as amplitude of anomalous vertical shifts. Dimensions and depth of lying of source of potential accidence are established by given formula. Distribution of vertical anomalous shifts of ground surface in depth on which bases conclusion of potential accidence of given zone is made is found.
