FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves making cholecystostomy, treating gallbladder, electric coagulation of gallbladder cervix. Then the whole gallbladder cavity is treated with vapor at 90-100 C with 5- 20 s long exposure time with forced used up vapor discharge from operation zone. Vapor treatment is repeated. Then, drain is set. Device has vapor-producing unit, flexible wire from thermally stable material and instrument connected to the vapor-producing unit. The instrument is designed as tube having cock with external tube of greater diameter being rigidly coaxially fixed, its working part being rounded and having uniformly distributed set of holes. The external tube is connected to means for discharging vapor with its end opposite to the working part. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced working incapacity time; reduced risk of intra- and postoperative complications. 3 cl, 1 dwg
