FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel method for preparing 2-(n-propyl)alk-3-en-2-one's of the general formula: CH₃C(O)C(C₃H₇)=CHR where R means n-C₆H₁₃, n-C₈H₁₇ by interaction of compound RCH=C=CH₂ with AlEt₃ in their mole ratio = 10 : (10-14) in the presence of Cp₂ZrCl₂ as catalyst taken in the amount 2-6 mole% to the parent allene, in argon atmosphere, at the room temperature, under normal pressure, in methylene chloride medium for 5 h followed by addition of acetonitrile (CH₃C≡N)) to reactive mass taken in 3-fold excess to triethylaluminium, stirring at temperature 40 C for 4-8 h and the following acid hydrolysis of reactive mass. Method provides preparing end substances with the yield 42-58%. EFFECT: improved preparing method. 1 tbl, 1 ex
