FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention is designated for rapid detection and determination of 2,4- dinitrophenol and nitrite in aqueous solutions. Biosensor system comprises four biosensor and their transformers are Clarke's electrodes immersed into flow cells. The first and the third membrane biosensors comprise cells Rhodococcus erythropolis HL PM-1 immobilized on a carrier as bioreceptors; the fourth membrane biosensor comprises bacterial cells Nitrobacter vulgaris immobilized on a carrier; the second biosensor is made as a reactor of column type with bacterial cells Rhodococcus erythropolis HL PM-1 immobilized on a carrier. Clarke's electrode is placed in outlet of biosensor reactor and flow cells of biosensors are bound in sequence. Invention proposes also biosensor for assay of 2,4- dinitrophenol and biosensor for assay of nitrite ions. Biosensor system used for assay of 2,4-dinitrophenol and nitrite provides high sensitivity and selectivity and allows to assay the presence of these substances simultaneously.
