FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, heat treatment of metals with use of high-frequency currents applicable in mechanical engineering for hardening of gear rims. SUBSTANCE: semiautomatic device for induction hardening of gear rims has inductor, base, lifting platform with mandrel, hydraulic cylinder, electric motor and reducing gear, hardening tank. Lifting platform has hollow shaft, mandrel is attached to top of hollow shaft and provided with three tabs movable in radial direction in guides and pressed by springs to cone of bar connected with power cylinder for synchronous separation or convergence of tabs. Mandrel is connected with hydraulic cylinder for its lowering together with rim into hardening annular tank. EFFECT: extended production process potentialities of semiautomatic device and higher quality of thermal treatment of parts. 2 cl, 5 dwg
