FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves casting share from steel comprising 0.8-1.4% of carbon and 10-15% of manganese; providing quenching with heating up to 1,000-1050 C and cooling in water. On plowing of soil, surface layer of share subjected to wear and impacts is strengthened due to austenite-to-martensite transition to provide for increased wear-resistance, and due to riveting, i.e, crystal lattice distortion under the action of cold deformation. Internal austenite structure has improved impact toughness and good impact load resistance. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of share and prolonged service life. 1 ex
