FIELD: power drives of stationary machines and self propelled vehicles. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, power plant operates owing to fluid medium displaced simultaneously by each movable member at one stroke over entire length of energy transmission line in one direction, and in opposite direction during other stroke. Mechanical energy is transmitted between movable members of mechanisms continuously. Proposed power plant includes at least one mechanism with rotating member and at least one mechanism with oscillating member connected by mechanical energy transmission line made in form of channels with fluid medium. Mechanism with rotation member is made in form of stator with at least two distributing devices and channels to supply and drain fluid medium, and with at least one rotor secured on shaft and provided with at least two cavities forming, together with stator, working spaces. Distance between distributing devices and adjacent cavities is chosen to be equal to length of chord of rotor cavity. EFFECT: improved reliability. 3 cl, 4 dwg _
