FIELD: pipe fittings for shutting off liquid or gaseous medium flow. SUBSTANCE: wedge-shaped shutoff has body and wedge-shaped member engageable with seats, which are hermetically sealed with respect to body by welded seam formed on inner surface of seat members and channel made in body through-flow groove. Welded seam is applied to seat end and channel wall extending perpendicular to body axis in through-flow groove. Such construction allows angle of inserting electrode or welder into welding zone to be improved. EFFECT: simplified construction and improved access to welding zone. 2 cl, 1 dwg
