FIELD: process of production and forming of shock waves in development of devices for multiple-point initiation of explosive charges, applicable in various fields of technical physics, for example, in helical explosion-magnetic generators for generation of energy of the megajoule level and in explosive current peakers for forming of multimegaampere current pulses with a rise time in the microsecond range. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in excitation of detonation, propagation of it and forming of a shock wave in a movable conductor, its acceleration, as well as a device for forming of the shock wave containing an explosive charge, detonation distributor, movable conductor and an initiator, the propagation is organized successively in time with forming of the shock wave with a stepwise varying front along the conductor. EFFECT: provided preset rate of compression of the magnetic flux by forming the required profile of divergence of the movable conductor and, respectively, the rate of extraction of the electromagnetic energy to the load. 6 cl, 2 ex, 4 dwg
