FIELD: conversion of explosive-material chemical energy into electromagnetic energy involving magnetic energy cumulating. SUBSTANCE: generator has external coaxial helical conductor, internal explosive-material charge conductor, and its initiation system at inlet end, as well as input closing member. One of conductors of input closing member is made as spiral with turn diameter gradually reducing towards input end with larger- diameter turn connected to generator helical conductor. Other distinguishing features of proposed generator are design of other conductor, insulator between conductors, and explosive-material charge of input closing member. EFFECT: enhanced energy gain without increasing generator size. 1 cl, 2 dwg
