FIELD: automation and mechanization of technological processes; assembly of threaded and cylindrical parts. SUBSTANCE: part to be connected is secured in assembly unit provided with flexible suspension and holder and is moved to contact with surface of locating part. Hole of locating part is found through rotation of part to be connected around its axis of symmetry till it is received by hole. Rotation is performed simultaneously with translational motion of holder. Assembly device is provided with spindle connected with individual rotation drive and tool for catching the part to be connected. Between end of spindle and holder there is clearance where flexible suspension is located; ends of this suspension are rigidly secured in grooves of spindle and holder.
