FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention has for objective detoxification and reuse of lubricating fluids and also reasonable use of production waste at ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy as well as mechanical engineering enterprises. Waste waters are freed from lubricating fluid through sorption on ground slag, in particular electrical steel-smelting production waste, with particle size 1-3 and 0.1-1 mm, 20-43 and 80-65%, respectively. EFFECT: increased degree of lubricating fluid recovery using otherwise unused waste. 1 tbl
