FIELD: fire retardants. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-retardant materials based on intercalating graphite compounds intended to be applied on out-door and in-door surfaces of public- and military-destination objects, to treating industrial assemblies, railway transport, bridges, and viaducts in order to block propagation of fire owing to imparting fire-proofing property and high heat-insulation capability under high- temperature conditions. Composition contains oxidant: oxidized graphite and, additionally, pentaerhytritol and Na- carboxymethylcellulose as carbonator; filler: titanium dioxide and calcium carbonate; hardener: ammonium polyphosphate; foaming agent: urea; and binder: acrylic dispersion and ureaformaldehyde resin; all in specified proportions.
