GUIDE DEVICE FOR LOGGING CABLE OR WIRE-ROPE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: materials-handling machines, particularly, improvement of their units; applicable in well servicing in mining industry for lowering and hoisting of various downhole instruments and devices in hydrodynamic and geophysical researches, and in other industries where materials-handling machines are used. SUBSTANCE: guide device includes bearing member, side limiters, cable vertical limiter, holding-suspending unit, roller-type support with grooves on roller external surface and special groove. Said support is made in form of a row of roller packs each of which is axle- bearing-roller located in direction of cable or wire-rope movement over curved path of lifting-lowering type. Special groove is made in form of recess formed by side walls of side limiters and supporting surfaces or roller packs. Bearing member simultaneously serves as side limiters whose shape is upper part of semicircle periphery. Mounting holes for roller packs are made over central part of limiters. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture of guide unit with improved its dimensions and weight, reduced specific metal content by a factor of 2 and more. 4 cl, 2 dwg
