FIELD: mining; applicable in opening of underground part of kimberlite-deposits. SUBSTANCE: method includes opencast mining by benches and driving of horizontal workings from benches. Opening of underground part of deposit is effected by inclined shafts beyond limits of caving prism and further-on beyond ore body in broken direction with shaft sinking and rising from horizontal workings, or by combined system. EFFECT: reduced terms of opening of mine horizons and provided continuous ore haulage. 3 dwg
