FIELD: determination of physical properties of materials by acoustic method. SUBSTANCE: facility includes body of frame type on which immobile tubular bars are arranged at fixed distances and in parallel one another. Ends of bars are electrically and acoustically insulated from body. Receiving and radiating piezoelements are positioned in channels of bars. Percentage of binder in moving belt of carbon fibers is determined by speed of propagation of ultrasonic oscillations along belt with due account of values of modulus of elasticity of unimpregnated fiber, modulus of thorough compression of binder and specific densities of unimpregnated fiber and binder established in advance. EFFECT: capability to control percentage of binder in belt over its entire length in zone of forming channel, enhanced accuracy of control. 2 cl, 4 dwg
