FIELD: determination of translational and rotary motion speed. SUBSTANCE: to obtain effective high-frequency wide-band transducer for gas medium, radiator and receiver are made as piezoelectric elements with front cover-plates consisting of two quarter-wave layers with specific impedances Z1= (0,1-0,4)106Pa•s/m and Z2= (1-5)106Pa•s/m. Layer with specific resistance Z1 is external one. Cylindrical body of transducer is made of rubber-like material. It has diametrical recess which serves as acoustic screen. Radiator and receiver are positioned in recesses of body symmetrical relative to acoustic screen by means of rubber sealing rings fixed on side surfaces.
