FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices preventing unauthorized use of cars. Proposed ignition switch contains key-operated rotor with spring-loaded strips installed in case and lock pin loaded by spring and provided with stop mechanism. Lock pin is loaded by spring, as a rule, through stop mechanism. Said stop mechanism is made in form of unit coupled with lock pin and accommodating spring-loaded dowel engaging with of strips. Strip engaging with dowel, last but one from outer end face of rotor, is provided with shoulder extending along to dowel. With key brought out of rotor, edge of shoulder is arranged for acting at least onto part of end face of dowel pointed to rotor. Cutout is made in zone of location of shoulder in last strip. Rotor consists of lock part accommodating spring-loaded strips and cam part, parts being separated by projection. Rotor engages with contact group providing closing of ignition circuit and starter circuit. EFFECT: decreased mass and overall dimensions o f ignition switch. 3 cl, 5 dwg
