FIELD: automotive industry; ignition systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition switch contains housing, lock rod engaging with steering shaft, ignition system cutting-in contact group, lock mechanism with key interacting with contact group and lock rod, clamp with fastening members and interlock to preclude access to clamp fastening members in ignition switch PARKING position. Recess is made on lock rod to suit place of location of interlock. Interlock is furnished additionally with lock mechanism with key, drive and catch arranged in space of inter-lock. Retainer with projection designed for interaction with hole on steering column is mounted in ignition switch housing. Open longitudinal slot is made on side surface of interlock. Ignition switch is provided additionally with two projections getting into longitudinal slot of interlock and arranged at different sides from lock rod. Catch is provided with cylindrical shank from side of drive of lock mechanism and eccentric from opposite side. Slot made on end face of shank engages with corresponding projection on lock mechanism drive.
EFFECT: improved antitheft protection of vehicle.
