FIELD: automotive industry; antitheft devices. SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition switch has body accommodating code rotor with slot for key on end face pointed outwards, contact part with cam members and steering shaft interlocking device. Control member is made in form of stepped cylinder whose outer end face is located around end face of rotor with slot for key. Radial projections are made on side surface of cylinder on which spring is fitted coaxially with cylinder. This spring acts in direction of inner end face on one side of flat ring. Back side of flat ring is provided with contacts engaging with fixed co0ntacts installed on base with cam members made in form of arc-shaped projections engaging with radial projections on flat ring.
