FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment designed for preventing unauthorized use or high-jacking of cars. Proposed antitheft device has cylindrical lock for car steering mechanism containing key-operated code rotor with spring-loaded plates. Rotor is made for locking in lock housing and shifting along axis when key is inserted overcoming the force built by pressure of spring acting onto interlock elements made for displacement along axle, and radially when inserting and extracting blade or outer end of key. Code rotor is installed in rotor housing. Spring of antitheft rod rests by one end on support flat of rod and by other end, on cover of lock with tenon for centering and preventing distortion of spring in process of compression. Lock cover is provided with projection excluding displacement of washer and extraction of locking at unauthorized access to lock mechanism.
EFFECT: simplified design and improved reliability of antitheft device.
