FIELD: aircraft instrumentation engineering; determination of mass of fuel in each tank of aircraft. SUBSTANCE: proposed system is used for determination of present parameters of fuel with the aid of sensors: level, temperature and characteristic parameters (heat conductivity and dielectric permeability) in each fuel tank. Level of fuel is measured in at least three points not lying on one straight line. Volume of fuel in tank is determined by level of fuel with geometric characteristics of tank taken into account. Grade of fuel or ratio of different grades of fuel is determined by characteristic parameters and temperature in on-board computer. Density of fuel contained in tank is determined by grade of fuel or mixture of fuel grades and temperature of fuel in fuel parameter driver included in on-board computer. Mass of fuel in tank is determined by density and volume of fuel in tank calculated in fuel volume calculator included in on-board computer. Total mass of fuel is found in summing-up unit.
