FIELD: aircraft instrumentation engineering; check of fuel mass in each fuel tank. SUBSTANCE: present parameters of fuel level, temperature and its characteristic parameter (heat conductivity) are determined by means of sensors of fuel gauzing system mounted in fuel tanks. Level of fuel is measured in at least three points not lying on one straight line. Volume of fuel in tank is determined in on-board computer by its level with geometric characteristics of tank taken into account. Grade of fuel or ratio of grades is determined in on- board computer by characteristic parameter and temperature of fuel. Density of fuel in tank is determined in on- board computer by grade or ratio of grades. Mass of fuel in tank is determined in on-board computer by density and volume of fuel determined in onboard computer beforehand. Total mass of fuel is found in summing-up unit. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of fuel mass at spread of its temperatures and grades. 1 dwg
