FIELD: rolling of metals. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for coiling metal strip and it provides reliable support of holder in all positions, even at turning of mounting support. Proposed mandrel-type has at least two rotating holders shifted by turnable mounting support providing possibility of setting each holder, successively, in first position for beginning of winding operation, and to second position for completing the winding and removal of coil. According to invention, reel is furnished with constantly acting support device for end of each holder opposite to mounting support and providing support for said end both from first initial position to position of completion of winding. Said support device has at least one turnable removable support member resting on fixed frame and installed for turning together with mounting support to provide support for end of holder first initial position to second winding completing position.
