FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: waste water treatment method can be used for treating precipitate formed during treatment of municipal and industrial waste waters on effluent disposal plants. Method envisages mechanical treatment of waste water on grid and in sand catcher, settling in primary settler, biological cleaning with active sludge, and anaerobic fermentation of compacted excessive activated sludge together with wet sediment and floating substances from primary settler in methane tank. floating substances, prior to be routed to methane tank, are preliminarily treated on additional mechanical grid and in fat catcher. Floating solids retained on grid are collected in container and emulsified water with floating substances is passed into fat catcher to be clarified and freed of fats. Clarified water is then introduced into preaerator and fats, over wet sediment pipeline, into methane tank. EFFECT: increased methane tank use efficiency due to reduced moistness of fermented sediment and prevented crust formation, and simultaneously increased productivity and reduced power consumption. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
