FIELD: transportation systems. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transportation systems employing rail structures with monorail and multirail tracks. Proposed rail has hollow body in form of side walls and upper web accommodating prestressed longitudinal sectional member. The latter is located directly under upper web of body and is furnished with clamping devices arranged lengthwise. Distance between points of clamping is chosen from definite relationship with due account of height of rail body. Clamping devices are made in form of screw0nut pair or flexible members, such as leaf or coil spring and are provided with sectional member locking elements to prevent its displacement relative to body. EFFECT: improved rigidity of construction at reduced mass and overall dimensions. 10 cl, 6 dwg
