FIELD: chemical, paint-and-varnish and food-processing industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of time of attaining required deflection of reflection of light flux from surface at limiting magnitude of curvature radius; magnitude thus found will be used for determination of surface tension. Device proposed for realization of this method includes gas source, light source, jet tube, two light detectors, time counter, generator of linearly changing flow rate and flip-flop.
