FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves paired symmetry points on patient body in sinocarotid zone projectable to carotid body and carotid sinus, respectively. Bioelectromagnetic response index is measured in points under study before and after making several squats. Bioelectromagnetic response index difference in pairs of points is calculated before and after physical factor action. Asymmetry coefficients Q1 and W1 are calculated in points under study. Medical preparation under study is applied to red border of lip. Bioelectromagnetic response index values are measured. Asymmetry coefficients Q2 and W2 are calculated by applying the same formulas after giving the preparation. Complication probability value P=(Q1+W1)-(Q2+W2) is interpreted in terms of preparation activity mechanism. If (-0,5)≤P≤(0,5), normal case is predicted. P≤(-0,5) or P≥(0,5), complication probability is determined. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in determining preparation influence upon patient organism.
