FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying variable extralinguistic parameters and local types of distortions in sending speech signals. Patients are trained for recognizing speech in invariant and error-immune way. The speech signals are sent with the same distortions of main tone frequency and speech rate not earlier than in 3 days after the first application of cochlear implant and then 2-3 weeks later and later on not more seldom than once per 3 months during the first year and not more seldom than once a year during the next period. The number of right answers and patient response time is determined. Analysis data are to be compared to the earlier received ones from the same patient and from healthy people. The number of right answers being statistically significantly higher, the patient response time being lower than values earlier obtained from the patient, rehabilitation dynamics is considered to be satisfactory. The number of right answers being significantly lower than that in healthy people, hearing and speech rehabilitation is considered to be incomplete. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
