METHOD OF REHABILITATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HEARING VOCAL FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH COCHLEAR IMPLANTS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61F11/00

Abstract RU 2342109 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: sound signals production and responses analysis are carried out. During injection of sound speech signals variable extralinguistic parameters are used and patients are trained to distinguish voices of announcers, phrase intonation. During injection of sound nonverbal signals sets of environment sounds are used and patients are trained to distinguish voices of animals, birds, sounds of musical instruments and housekeeping. Not earlier than three days after the first activation of the cochlear implant and further not less than once in a week the correct number of answers and patient's time of reaction for all the signals are defined. The analysis data is compared to the data about this patient received earlier and if the level of correct answers exceeds 85%, the training is considered to be completed.

EFFECT: expansion of trained skills range .
