FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed high-angle chain conveyor has support frame with closed guides secured on frame at both sides of conveyor and made in form of single tubes on which roller hangers are installed at uniform pitch for displacement. Conveyor has two parallel endless chains passed over drive and end sprockets, with roller hangers being secured on chain at uniform pitch. Crossmembers are installed in space between left-hand and right-hand roller hangers, being connected by sections of longitudinal flexible members whose length exceeds pitch of roller hangers, thanks to which load-holding containers are formed which displace along conveyor. Parameters of design components in optimum case are related by relationship Lr = Lfm(1,046-1,679α+1,527α2-0,470α3) where Lr is pitch of roller hangers along conveyor, mm; Lfm is length of longitudinal flexible member, mm: α is angle is angle of conveyor tilting to horizon, rad.
